Agra is a city on the banks of the Yamuna river in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It's about 230 kilometers (140 mi) southeast of the national capital Delhi and 330 kilometers west of the state capital Lucknow. Agra is a major tourist destination and is included on the Golden Triangle tourist circuit, along with Delhi and Jaipur. The city is also a center for traditional Indian crafts, such as carpet weaving and marble inlay.
